This Privacy Policy explains what SIGNED. collects, why, and your rights. We take the sensitivity of birth data seriously.
1. What we collect
Account: name, email, password (hashed). Birth details: date, time (if known), and location for you, your children, and any co-parents you add — used solely to compute astrological placements. Community: posts, replies, votes, and reports you create. Payment: processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
2. Why we use it
To calculate placements, generate your reports, run the community, process your Foundation payment, secure your account, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Birth data is sensitive
Birth date, time, and location are personal data. We use them only to provide the astrological features you requested. You can delete any child, co-parent, or your entire account at any time, which removes the associated birth data.
4. Sharing
We share data only with processors that run the service: Stripe (payments), our hosting/database provider, and the AI provider that generates report text (which receives placement signs, not your raw identity, to write the reading). Each is bound to handle data securely.
5. Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Delete account in your profile permanently erases your account, children, co-parents, reports, and community content (right to erasure / GDPR Art. 17, CCPA). EU/UK and California residents have additional rights you can exercise by contacting us.
6. Retention & security
We keep your data while your account is active and delete it on account deletion. Passwords are hashed; sessions use secure, http-only cookies; connections are encrypted in transit.
7. Children & parental consent (COPPA)
SIGNED is an adults-only service. Only a parent or legal guardian who is 18 or older may create an account, and at sign-up they must affirmatively confirm that role before any child information can be entered. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account, and children do not log in or interact with SIGNED directly.
A child's birth details are provided by the consenting parent or guardian solely to compute that child's astrological placements. We collect from a child only what the parent enters (name and birth date/time/location); we never ask a child for information, serve them ads, or share their information for marketing. The data belongs to the adult account holder, who can view, correct, or delete it — or the whole account — at any time, which permanently erases the child's data.
